The FRANCE TO SRI LANKA initiative is based on a strong conviction :

To be sustainable, progress must simultaneously address education, employment, environmental protection and human solidarity.

By acting simultaneously on the levers of employment, education, the environment and solidarity, FRANCE TO SRI LANKA maximises its impact and builds sustainable responses to complex challenges.

Through our various small-scale programmes, we create conditions conducive to local employment and entrepreneurship.

This comprehensive strategy generates lasting impacts and contributes to balanced economic, social and environmental development in harmony with Sri Lankan nature.

Our priority programme aims to improve access to education and enable children to look to the future.

It enables beneficiaries to acquire the skills and knowledge they need to integrate into the economy on a long-term basis, find work and improve their living conditions and those of their families.

Preserving the natural environment is an essential pillar of sustainable development, particularly in Sri Lanka, which remains a largely untouched wilderness.

Through this initiative, we provide solutions to preserve the ancestral coexistence of Sri Lankans with their biodiversity and give younger generations the means to understand the challenges of the future.

We respond to the urgent needs of the most vulnerable populations, while providing them with long-term support through our network of social service managers.

We implement concrete, tailored solutions—medical equipment, home improvements, personalised support—to bring about lasting improvements in the living conditions of the most disadvantaged families, restoring their dignity and security.

Sri Lanka is regularly affected by natural disasters such as floods, landslides and droughts, exacerbated by global warming.

Our mission is to respond quickly (within 48 hours in the case of Cyclone Ditwah) to meet essential needs: drinking water, food and medicine.

We also work to repair homes, schools and health facilities.

Supporting our initiative means:

  • investing in balanced and responsible development,

  • becoming an agent of concrete and measurable change,

  • aligning your commitment with strong human values.
